Gili Trawangan
Located at Lombok, Bali, Indonesia
Located just off the coast of the northwest Lombok Island, Gili Trawangan is the biggest of the three Gili islands. In the past these islands (also known as 'The three little peanuts') were used by the people of Sulawesi for coconut and palm plantations. Today the islands are characterised by sandy white beaches, clear blue waters and the generous hospitality, which is typical of the Indonesian people. The island prohibits the use of motorised vehicles which creates a refreshing atmosphere. You can rent a bicycle at one of the many rental shops found all across the island, or perhaps try some of the culture and hire a horse and cart to travel around this tropical paradise.
